Objectives:
1. Mastery of TPR
(Total Physical Response): Train teachers to use TPR as a dynamic,
movement-based method to enhance language acquisition, engagement, and
cognitive development in young learners.
2. Child
Development Knowledge: Strengthen understanding of early childhood
developmental stages (physical, emotional, social, cognitive) to tailor
age-appropriate activities.
3. Interactive
Teaching Strategies: Introduce diverse methodologies (storytelling,
play-based learning, music, and art) to foster creativity and holistic
growth.
4. Classroom
Management: Equip teachers with skills to create structured, nurturing,
and inclusive classroom environments.
5. Inclusive Education Practices: Promote strategies to support
children with diverse needs, including multilingual learners and those with
disabilities.
6. Parent-Teacher Collaboration: Develop techniques to engage parents
in their child’s learning journey through regular communication and participatory
activities.
7. Assessment Techniques: Train teachers to use observational and
formative assessments to track progress without pressuring young
learners.
8. Creative Resource Utilization: Encourage the use of low-cost,
locally available materials for hands-on, sensory-rich learning
experiences.
9. Emotional and Social Skill Development: Teach methods to nurture
empathy, cooperation, and self-regulation in pre-primary students.
10. Adaptability and Innovation: Foster a mindset to integrate new
educational trends (e.g., digital tools for early learning) while preserving
play-based fundamentals.
Expected Outcomes:
1. Effective TPR Implementation: Teachers seamlessly incorporate
movement and gestures into lessons to boost language retention and student
participation.
2. Developmentally Aligned Lessons: Activities and curricula reflect
the cognitive and emotional needs of 3–6-year-olds, enhancing readiness for
formal schooling.
3. Engaged and Joyful Classrooms: Use of play, music, and
storytelling leads to vibrant, interactive learning environments that reduce
anxiety and build curiosity.
4. Strong Classroom Routines: Teachers establish clear, consistent
routines that balance freedom and structure, improving behavior and
focus.
5. Inclusive Learning Spaces: All children, regardless of background
or ability, feel valued and supported through differentiated instruction.
6. Parental Involvement: Increased collaboration with parents through
workshops, progress updates, and home-based activity suggestions.
7. Holistic Assessment: Teachers track developmental milestones using
non-stressful, observation-based tools to inform personalized support.
8. Resourceful Teaching: Classrooms utilize creative, low-cost
materials (e.g., recycled items, nature-based tools) to stimulate sensory and
motor skills.
9. Social-Emotional Growth: Students demonstrate improved
communication, sharing, and emotional regulation through guided group
activities.
10. Future-Ready Educators: Teachers adapt to evolving educational
tools (e.g., age-appropriate apps) while maintaining a child-centered,
play-driven philosophy.
This training empowers pre-primary teachers to create nurturing, dynamic, and
inclusive learning environments, ensuring young children develop foundational
skills and a lifelong love for learning.
